Kenny Overcast – Founder/Director
Kenny is a professional video producer and marketer. He founded the legacy video production company called Sentimental Cinema. He wanted to highlight everyday people who deserved to have their pains, passions and hopes preserved for future generations. A legacy video is a great way to encapsulate a person’s life story, unique skills, or knowledge. Kenny has a passion for celebrating all types of people, in particular, community elders by giving them a space to speak their truths for future generations to learn from.
In 2020, in pursuit of his passion of telling stories about his elders, Kenny created a legacy video of his last remaining great aunt, Roxy. Once completed he gifted the video to Roxy for her 85th birthday. That project sparked his interest in pursuing the legacy video production company you see today.
Jerry Hsiao – Editor
Jerry is a visual designer living in San Francisco, CA. He is passionate about illustration, graphic design, video editing, and motion graphics. Jerry met and started working with Kenny while both were attending film school at Berkeley City College.

Dominic Abney – Editor
Dominic (Dom) was a teachers assistant at Berkeley City College for the film and editing classes along with being an AV tech. During that time he started to get more into multimedia and went down the path of becoming a video editor. That is when he teamed up with Kenny to help edit Sentimental Cinema films.
